Cedar shingles and shakes are a renewable resource. They provide additional insulation lowering your heating and cooling costs, especially in the state of Maine where the climate is fairly chilly for most of the year. Our cedar Shingles have an R-7 insulation factor, while an R-12 insulation factor can be found in our Cedar shakes.

Our Cedar shingles are a long lasting natural solution to your roofing and siding needs. They add sales appeal and value to your residential and commercial buildings and other projects. Our Cedar shingles are sawn from Northern Maine White Cedar, and are sawn square the first time; no need for re-squared and re-butted. We can custom saw our Cedar Shingles to any length up to 24" at almost any thickness desired.

Our standard Cedar Shake size is 5/8” butt, 18” long, with 6” exposure, while 3/8” butt, 16” long, with 5” exposure is the standard size for our Cedar Shingles.

Historical Societies note; We can saw the exact same size cedar shingle that was originally on your building, making matching them to the old ones a snap. We can deliver your order right to your door on our own truck, which will help in minimizing damage to your order.

Cedar shingles and shakes are often preferred by our Maine customers who desire the warmth, durability, beauty and natural coloration that they provide. Your particular needs may call for our Roof Grade; or our Wall Grade cedar shingle with solid knots, or our popular Wall Grade II; which is suitable for garages, barns, storage buildings, and camps. Regardless of your requirements, we can meet them with Premium quality cedar shingles at a reasonable price.
